Inukai Falls
inukai no taki
The waterfall was also selected as the first place in the 100 views of New Kagoshima. It is spectacular to see the water flowing down with a height of 36 meters and a width of 22 meters. In the past, Kiyomaro played at this waterfall, and Sakamoto Ryoma, a wind child at the end of the Edo period, also wrote a letter saying that he looked at this waterfall when he visited Kirishima on his honeymoon. There is also a Waki Shrine nearby, which is crowded with wisteria festivals in early summer.
