Hanafusa Falls
hanafusa no taki
A waterfall in the Takachiho area of the upper reaches of the Otari River. It is 19.2 m high and 22.7 m wide. It is a waterfall that is worth seeing with a lot of water. If you follow the information board from the hand-washing trail on the forest therapy road and go down the slightly sloping road, you can see Hanafusa Falls below.

- About 5 minutes by car from Maruo to the entrance of the handwash walking path, about 20 minutes by car from Kirishima Shrine, about 30 minutes by car from Kagoshima Airport

*It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the entrance of the handwashing trail to a place where you can see the waterfall. Some of the roads are steep and have tree roots, so we recommend walking in comfortable clothes.
