It is located near the old approach to Kirishima Shrine. This waterfall was formed by the erosion of lava from Mt. Shinrendake, which covers the debris flow sediments, and the stream flowing from the Takachiho River. It faces a public road and can be approached by vehicle.

- Get off at Kirishima Jingu bus stop, walk about 20 minutes, about 15 minutes by car from Maruo, about 45 minutes by car from Kagoshima Airport
