Today’s Situation at Kirishima Onsen Market and Road Conditions (Jan. 11, 2026)

This morning, a light layer of snow had accumulated around the Kirishima Onsen Tourist Information Center (Takachiho, Makizono-cho, Kirishima City).

Light snow is still falling at the moment. ☃

In addition, due to icy road conditions, tire chains are still required on the following roads:
Prefectural Route 1 (Kobayashi–Ebino Kogen–Makizono Line) and Prefectural Route 30 (Ebino Kogen–Oda Line) from Maruo Intersection toward Ebino City, Miyazaki Prefecture, as well as Prefectural Route 104 (Kirishima Park–Kobayashi Line) from Kirishima Shinmoe-so toward Takachiho-gawara.

Please be careful if you plan to pass.
